Welcome to Jowy ("the App"), a lightweight social platform designed to help users savor life’s simple joys by sharing, exploring, and connecting over genuine, everyday happy moments. This User Agreement ("Agreement") outlines the terms and conditions governing your use of the App, including its features, content, and services. By accessing or using Jowy, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all provisions of this Agreement. If you do not agree with any part of this Agreement, please do not use the App.
Jowy is available for use by individuals who can form legally binding agreements under applicable laws. You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to comply with this Agreement.
Notably, Jowy does not require you to create an account to log in and use the App. You may access the App directly without account registration, subject to the terms of this Agreement.
Jowy provides a range of features to enhance your experience of sharing and exploring everyday joys. Your use of these features is subject to the following guidelines:
You may scroll through and view other users’ shared joyful moments, which may include multiple photos, expense tags, and happiness ratings (rated on a scale of 1 to 5 stars). You agree to use this feature solely for the purpose of seeking inspiration and engaging with positive content, and you will not use it to harass, stalk, or otherwise disturb other users.
You may upload photos, log small costs associated with your shared moments, and select a happiness score (1 to 5 stars) to share your own joyful experiences. The App provides friendly prompts and smart checks to facilitate easy sharing. When sharing content, you represent and warrant that:
Jowy reserves the right to review and, in its sole discretion, remove any content that violates these guidelines without prior notice to you.
You may engage with other users’ content by liking or commenting on shared moments. Additionally, the App provides local tools (including report and block functions) to help you maintain a positive feed. You agree to use these tools responsibly: you will not misuse the report function to falsely flag legitimate content, and you will use the block function only to protect yourself from unwanted interactions. Jowy may investigate reports of misuse and take appropriate action, including restricting your access to the App if necessary.
The App includes an AI chat feature focused on well-being, allowing you to discuss emotions, positive psychology, and related topics with a happiness-focused AI. All chat history generated through this feature is stored locally on your device (as further described in the Jowy Privacy Policy). You agree to use this AI chat feature in a respectful and appropriate manner, and you acknowledge that the AI’s responses are for general well-being support only and do not constitute professional advice (e.g., medical, psychological, or legal advice).
Jowy enables one-on-one private messaging with other users. All private chat data is stored locally on your device, and you may use the block/unblock options to manage your private chat interactions. You agree to use private chats in a respectful and lawful manner, and you will not use this feature to send harassing, threatening, illegal, or inappropriate messages. You are solely responsible for the content of your private messages and any consequences arising from their transmission.
Jowy includes an invitation code feature to help reduce customer acquisition costs and promote the App. The following rules govern the use of this feature:
You agree to use the invitation code feature in good faith and will not attempt to generate or use fraudulent, counterfeit, or unauthorized invitation codes. Jowy reserves the right to void any invitation code that is used in violation of this Agreement or that is found to be fraudulent.
Jowy and all its associated intellectual property (including but not limited to the App’s name, logo, design, code, features, and content owned by Jowy) are the exclusive property of Jowy or its licensors. All trademarks, copyrights, patents, and other intellectual property rights in the App are protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App or its intellectual property without the prior written permission of Jowy.
With respect to content you share on the App, you retain all ownership rights to your content. However, by sharing content on Jowy, you grant Jowy a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the App (e.g., displaying your content to other users, featuring your content in App promotions with proper attribution). This license terminates when you delete your content from the App or when you stop using the App, unless the content has already been shared by other users or stored by Jowy for legitimate business purposes (e.g., backup).
You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited conduct when using Jowy:
Jowy may take action against users who engage in prohibited conduct, including but not limited to removing content, restricting access to features, or blocking access to the App entirely, without prior notice. Jowy also reserves the right to cooperate with law enforcement authorities if prohibited conduct involves illegal activity.
This Agreement remains in effect as long as you use the App. Jowy may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, if you violate any provision of this Agreement or if Jowy determines that your use of the App is harmful to other users, the App, or Jowy’s interests. You may also terminate this Agreement by ceasing to use the App.
Upon termination, all licenses granted to you under this Agreement will immediately terminate, and you must stop using the App. Provisions of this Agreement that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., intellectual property rights, disclaimers of liability, indemnification) will continue to apply.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Jowy disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Jowy does not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from viruses or other harmful components. Jowy also does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content shared on the App (including user-generated content and AI chat responses).
Your use of the App and any content obtained through the App is at your own risk. Jowy is not responsible for any damages, losses, or harm arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to damages resulting from content that is offensive, misleading, or infringing, or from interactions with other users.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Jowy shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, data, or goodwill) arising out of or in connection with your use of the App, even if Jowy has been advised of the possibility of such damages. This limitation of liability applies regardless of the legal theory underlying the claim (e.g., contract, tort, negligence, or strict liability).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain types of damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you. In such cases, Jowy’s liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Jowy may update or modify this Agreement from time to time to reflect changes in the App’s features, legal requirements, or business practices. When Jowy makes changes to this Agreement, it will notify you by posting the revised Agreement in the App (e.g., in the "Legal" or "Settings" section) and updating the "Last Updated" date at the end of this Agreement. Your continued use of the App after the revised Agreement is posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree with the revised Agreement, you must stop using the App.

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and Jowy governing your use of the App, superseding any prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications, or understandings (whether oral or written) relating to the subject matter hereof.
If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions of this Agreement shall remain in full force and effect. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision.
Jowy’s failure to enforce any provision of this Agreement shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision. Jowy’s waiver of a breach of this Agreement shall not constitute a waiver of any subsequent breach.
This Agreement is binding on you and your successors and assigns. You may not assign or transfer this Agreement or your rights under it without Jowy’s prior written permission. Jowy may assign this Agreement or its rights and obligations hereunder to any third party without your consent.
